The Rock River Philharmonic is a professional orchestra offering three distinct concert series; classical, family pops, explorer. These distinct concerts reflect the interests of our communities and allow us to explore artistic boundaries while also celebrating musical achievements.

Classical Series

This series honors the legacy of classical music through the performance of the greatest repertoire from many different periods throughout history.  Full orchestra and chamber orchestra performances will be presented in formal, acoustically brilliant venues throughout the region.  Classical and contemporary composers will be featured, highlighting the full brilliance of the Rock River Philharmonic.  Consider this an opportunity to recall the formal entertainment of the past.  While there is no dress code, this is a great opportunity to get dressed-up and enjoy a meal at any of the fabulous dinning establishments in the area then take in the performance.

Family Pops Series

The magic of these performances exists within the dynamic range of the Rock River Philharmonic.  Broadway favorites, big-band hits, classic rock & roll, movie music and more will surprise and delight those listeners not familiar with the grand sound of a full orchestra.  This series is perfect for listeners that may not realize how accessible orchestral music can be.  Bring the whole family- all ages are welcomed to these productions.  

Explorer Series

The signature of the Rock River Philharmonic, this series exists to push artistic boundaries.   These productions will be new and collaborative initiatives for artists, venues and audience members.  Visual arts, dance, film, poetry, fashion, food or more may be separately featured to infuse musical performances that encourage participation from the audience.  Each Explorer Series event will be different, allowing musicians as well as audience members the opportunity to explore their personal, musical limits.
